A woman who works out of a tiny home and gets weekly massages at the office says her job has 'all the perks'
  • In January, Kylie Goodwin, who works in accounting, posted a TikTok video of offices in tiny homes.
  • She said that her employer — a property-management firm in Missouri, per LinkedIn — built them.

One company is bringing work-from-home to the office.

Kylie Goodwin — who works in accounting at FHS Property Management in Springfield, Missouri, according to her LinkedIn profile — has shared several TikTok videos showing her office, which appears to contain desks and chairs within several tiny-home structures set up indoors.

Since January, Goodwin, who posts under the handle @itskylie94 and has 58,900 followers, has posted multiple tours of her workplace. Goodwin's videos and FHS' official Facebook page show that FHS has set up tiny homes that house its employees' workspaces — complete with their own faux-grass yards, mailboxes, and hammocks out front.

FHS, short for Family Home Solutions, says on its website that it buys "distressed real estate for rehabilitation" and fixes "it up 'like new.'" It also sells "homes to families and offer credit repair services to help them buy a home" and manages "property for real estate investors who want a no-hassle system of management."

Goodwin's first video, which was posted January 21 and now has has 39 million views, is a tour of the tiny home village inside her company's office space.

In replies to inquisitive TikTokers who peppered the comments section of that video with questions, Goodwin said the head of the company designed each house based on each employee's personality, then unveiled them as a surprise. The number in front of each house that looks like its address is a reference to each employee's birthday, she added.

Since January, Goodwin has posted five additional videos showing off the space. In one of her other videos, she records the tinkling sounds of a water feature in one of the tiny-house backyards.

"Just listen to how peaceful it is with the water fountains," she wrote.

"I'm requesting that all meetings be held at the hammocks so I can just open my windows since they are in my yard," Goodwin said in a comment on the water-fountain video.

An FHS employee responded by email to Insider's request for comment about the tiny homes but didn't provide more detail. Goodwin did not respond to Insider's request for comment.

Tiny homes are all the rage right now, from handcrafted luxury models that are over $175,000 to tiny homes sold on Amazon that cost a few thousand dollars.

Meanwhile, the future of traditional office towers is constantly discussed and debated; many sit partially empty thanks to the rise of remote work and a reluctance to waste time commuting. Employers are offering perks like free food delivery, yoga classes, and luxe in-office showers to lure workers back.

A tiny-home setup like this is a novel way, however, to make the office fun and enticing.

"More and more companies are doing things like this to get workers back in offices instead of WFH," one commenter wrote.

It seems to work for FHS.

In captions on her TikTok videos and responses to commenters, Goodwin said she loves her job. Another video showed the the free massages offered in the office each week.

"My job has all the perks," Goodwin wrote.
