In 2018, Nathaniel Wise began living in his Toyota Sequoia full-time and now travels around the country.
The back of the truck is equipped with a twin-size bed, storage space, a fridge, and a battery.
Even though Wise has no kitchen, no bathroom, and sometimes he feels his journey is "aimless," he said he loves the freedom of this lifestyle.
"I think the tiny house movement is just a movement toward minimalism and I definitely share that," Wise said. "I think living with less is the core of the tiny house movement and I can relate to that very strongly."
If home is where the heart is, then Nathaniel Wise is right at home on the open road.
Wise is a photographer who has been living in his Toyota Sequoia truck full-time since 2018 after he realized he loved traveling and backpacking. Despite the fact that some people call his lifestyle outrageous, Wise is adamant that he lives a life full of nature, beauty, and freedom.
Here's how Wise turned an ordinary truck into a livable tiny house on wheels.

"If I'm not adamant about adding structure to my day like having a morning routine and having these anchors, it can feel a bit aimless at times," Wise said.

Despite the fact that Wise said he feels like he's living a fulfilled life, some people criticize his lifestyle.

As Wise continues to challenge what the tiny house movement looks like, he's enjoying his life on the open road.
