After a racist TikTok video that includes a racial slur went viral and led to the expulsion of the two teenagers who posted it, one student is pleading for people to "stop sharing" it.

In the video, a piece of paper with a racial slur written on it is shown in a sink. A boy and girl finish each other's sentences to explain that they're demonstrating the "making" of a black person, and the boy says the slur out loud. The two pour cups of water into the sink that indicate the different character trait additions, including "don't have a dad," "eat fried chicken and watermelon."

The two go on to say that black people "rob people" — "specifically whites" — and don't make "good choices." The final step in their racist recipe is "go to jail."

The video has since been removed from TikTok, but another student at their high school in Carrollton, Georgia, posted it on Twitter on April 16, reaching close to nine million viewers.

"For the love of god, stop sharing the video and my name and picture," the girl from the video said in an Instagram Story that was shared in screenshots on Twitter. The student said that it was her boyfriend's fault for their racist video, as he had "slowly normalized his racism" for her. The student pleaded for people to stop contacting her college because "one mistake should not ruin a life."

In an Instagram post, the student wrote that she was "sorry to any blacks that got offended." Insider is not naming the two students directly, as they appear to be minors.

The student who posted the TikTok on Twitter on April 16 said in a subsequent tweet that this was not an "isolated" incident, and that she's been "shocked by the amount of openly racist people" she's met in her town. The high school's student body is 29 percent black, according to Georgia's governor's office website.

A member of the school board, Gil O'Neal, who is black, told the New York Times that the incident "never should have happened in this day and age," and that the community will "heal" and learn from it.

In a statement on April 17, the school district announced that both students were no longer enrolled at Carrollton High School. Superintendent Mark Albertus said that the video did not uphold the district's standard for respect. "The racist behavior observed in the video easily violates this standard," he said. "This incident does not reflect the culture of Carrollton City Schools."

Insider's message to the female student was not immediately returned on Tuesday morning, and the male student could not immediately be reached.

The incident is just one of many where students have gone viral on social media for posting racist videos and been swiftly "canceled," with other social media users mobilizing to notify others in the real world of their behavior. Frequently, the incidents lead to consequences like job loss and expulsion.
