One of the joys of home ownership is creating a space that fits your personal style.
Some people fill their homes with color, while others decorate their spaces around their families.
But one Georgia homeowner took his home to another level by making it a replica of one of his favorite places: Disneyland's Haunted Mansion.
Now, the home, which is filled with nods to the Disney attraction, is on sale for $2.2 million. Take a look inside the one-of-a-kind property.

The Haunted Mansion opened at Disneyland in California in 1969, and the spooky house quickly became one of its most beloved attractions, inspiring two films by the same name.
On the ride, visitors pile into a "Doom Buggy" for a tour of the house as a "Ghost Host" narrates and introduces a number of spooky specters.
A former Disney contractor built a replica of the mansion in Duluth, Georgia — and now it's on sale.

Mark Hurt, a former contractor at Disney and special effects expert, custom-designed the massive property in Duluth, Georgia, as the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported in 2003.
According to the home's listing from Gail Laney, the 9,467-square-foot home has six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms and is filled with references to the Haunted Mansion.
For instance, the exterior of the white house is markedly similar to the actual Haunted Mansion, with columns lining the front of the property.
And according to the listing, the cast iron railings lining the upper and lower levels came from a foundry used by Disney.
The front gate labels the home "The Haunted Mansion."

The sign on one of the pillars framing the home's gated walkway mimics the logo Disney created for the real mansion.
Much of the interior looks like a normal home, though it has grandiose touches.

Several rooms in the house, including the formal living room and dining room, feature ornate chandeliers that nod to the vintage design of the Haunted Mansion.
The interior is also made with mezzanines above the first floor, so you can see the lower floors as you move through the home. Natural light fills the space, too.
The space most directly inspired by the Disney ride is one of the bathrooms.

The bathroom on the home's main floor has a Haunted Mansion poster, but it's an interactive mirror that makes it feel truly spooky.
According to the AJC, turning on the cold water in the antiquated-looking sink makes the room's lights flicker and then go dark as an image of a ghost appears in the mirror, bringing Disneyland's attraction to life.
An unsettling voice also calls out, "Watch out for the hitchhiking ghosts," which are spirits that play a role in Disneyland's attraction.
Small details throughout the house give it a haunted feel, too.

For example, this wall lamp in the space has hardware designed to look like gargoyles framing the light.
Though the house has spooky inspiration, it also has more modern spaces.

Much of the main floor is open-concept, and the sunny kitchen has high-end appliances, a large island, and ample cabinetry.
A butler's pantry is attached to the kitchen, giving the home a second fridge and more storage space.
The kitchen spills into a den with a fireplace, as well as a sunroom.
The property features 6 bedrooms, including a spacious primary suite.

According to its listing, the primary bedroom is more like a suite, as it has a private patio, a breakfast nook, and two walk-in closets with high-end additions like built-in storage and a makeup counter.
There's also a "nanny suite" with similar amenities.
The basement has two levels and is designed for entertaining.

The current owners styled one of its rooms for playing pool.
The home also features a rooftop patio.

According to the listing, the space above the garage is currently unfinished and could be turned into a private apartment.
The home is listed at $2.2 million.

In addition to the amenities built into the house, the replica of the Haunted Mansion sits on a cul-de-sac, and owners have access to a neighborhood pool, clubhouse, and tennis court.
The home has enough amenities to make it desirable any time of year, but it would definitely be the hit of the neighborhood every Halloween.
