The Octopus, a 414-foot luxury megayacht, will be available to charter for trips around Europe, the Americas, and Antarctica beginning this summer with yacht firm Camper and Nicholsons.

The multimillion-dollar price tag may be hefty, but it's no ordinary ship. The Octopus — one of the largest explorer yachts ever built — was previously owned by Paul Allen, the cofounder of Microsoft, Holly Overton reported for Boat International.

The Octopus' most recent owner acquired the megaboat in 2021, Francesca Webster reported for Superyacht Times. And shortly after, it joined Camper and Nicholsons' fleet for chartering opportunities.

This is the first time the Octopus will be available for charter, and it'll definitely cost you a pretty penny to sail aboard the ship: Charters start at $2.2 million per week.
