Insider spoke to former and current employees about things customers should never do in an Ikea.
Bringing food or drinks into the furniture area is frowned upon, and if you have wrappers or trash make sure to throw them away in the provided bins.
Putting items back on the wrong shelves creates a nightmare for the staff.
Ikea stores are big, so be patient with employees who are trying to help you find everything you need.
Known for its affordable, flat-pack furnishings and in-store food court, the Swedish houseware and furniture retail chain Ikea has locations across the globe.
To figure out some of the ways shoppers can make the most of their experience in the store while making staff members' lives easier, Ikea spoke to current and former employees of the chain.
Here are a few things you should never do at Ikea.

Eating and drinking in the display areas is strongly discouraged.
Ikea has numerous large display areas throughout the store.
