Here are 5 definite ways to spot a liar

No matter how powerful you are, we all chatter with our fingertips. There is much more to the speech. Liars freeze their upper bodies when they are lying. It’s not that liars won’t look into your eyes; they look you in the eyes a little too much just to compensate for that myth. We think warmth and smiles convey honesty, sincerity. But a trained liespotter can spot a fake smile a mile away.

If you think a person is lying to you or deceiving you, observe them carefully. Their words and actions will mismatch. They will say yes but their heads will nod in a no.

If you are interviewing someone or interrogating someone, an honest person is going to be cooperative. They are going to show that they are on your side. They are going to be enthusiastic, willing, helping to getting you to the truth.

An honest person will recommend strict rather than a lenient punishment. If they sense that you doubt them, they will be angry throughout rather showing their anger in flashes.

A dishonest person will pepper the story with all kinds of details at irrelevant places.

You can easily spot this one as the person will have one lip corner pulled up and in. It is the only asymmetrical expression. A dishonest person will tell you a story in a perfect chronology and when you ask him to reverse it, they will be blank as they had rehearsed the chronology. They will appear to be jerky, pause and suddenly start speaking in low voice. Such behaviours are red flags.
