My party of 2 spent $130 on a 'secret' Disney World breakfast buffet, and it was a great alternative to restaurants inside the parks

My mom and I spent $130 on a character breakfast at the Four Seasons Resort near Disney World.
The meal is buffet-style with plenty of options that everyone can enjoy.

The Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World is home to a little-known character-dining experience.

Ravello, an upscale Italian eatery at the resort, offers a special breakfast buffet called Good Morning Breakfast With Goofy & His Pals from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursdays, Saturdays, and select Tuesdays throughout the year.

I called the restaurant during a recent visit to Orlando and was able to get a reservation for 8 a.m. on a Saturday. Here's what it was like.

Checking in for the reservation was easy.

Our table was in a prime location to see characters.

After we were seated, we were given a quick introduction about how the character-dining worked.

We were then given a menu with all of the fresh-pressed juices the bar could make for an additional cost.

The buffet had so many options to choose from that it was hard to know where to start.

My first round was a more traditional breakfast plate.

Just before I dove into my plate, Goofy came by to greet us.

About halfway through my breakfast, Mickey Mouse came to our table.

Before I could sit down again, Minnie Mouse was ready for photos, too.

We ended up spending $130, and I think Ravello is a great option if you really want to do a character breakfast.

I ordered the most expensive burgers at McDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King. My favorite was so big, I could barely lift it with one hand.
