<p class="ingestion featured-caption">Dunkin' announced a new value meal at the end of August.Xavi Lopez/SOPA Images/LightRocket/Getty Images</p><ul class="summary-list"><li>As fast food becomes more competitive, <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/dominos-ceo-summer-value-5-dollar-meals-fast-food-burgers-2024-7">chains are trying anything</a> they can to bring in customers.</li><li>Dunkin' is the latest chain to add a value meal to its menu.</li></ul><p>Over the summer, some of the biggest fast-food brands <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/fast-food-value-meal-taste-test-mcdonalds-wendys-burger-king-2024-7">introduced value meals</a> to bring in customers amid complaints about <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/fast-food-price-rises-tipping-point-value-deals-combos-mcdonalds-2024-8">rising prices.</a></p><p>One of the latest chains to hop on the value meal trend is <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/category/dunkin">Dunkin'</a>, which announced a limited-edition $6 value meal as part of the new fall menu in late August.</p><p>The meal comes with a medium-sized coffee (hot or iced), a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, and an order of hash browns. Before the $6 value meal was launched, these items together would cost $12, so the value meal is essentially a 50% discount.</p><p>I headed to my local Dunkin' to try out the new meal and see if it was a good deal.</p>
