However, many sources agree that the hamburgers we know and love today originated in the Midwest of the US.</p><p>As a Midwest native from <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/millennial-cost-of-living-nyc-kansas-city-midwest-rent-2024-1">Kansas City</a>, I wanted to see which popular chain near me had the best basic cheeseburger. </p><p>I went to Sonic, Culver's, and Freddy's to find out. </p>
