I made frozen french fries in the toaster oven and air fryer to see which appliance is best.
The two batches of fries were almost too similar to tell apart, but the air fryer pulled ahead.
Frozen french fries are a convenient snack or side dish. But if I don't have access to an oven — or just don't want to heat up my whole kitchen — I turn to my countertop appliances.
I wanted to see whether the air fryer or toaster oven made better fries, so I made a batch in each.

I started by tossing all the fries with a little oil and seasoning.
