Reasons why you shouldn’t grind your teeth too much

Everyone develops certain habits during their lifetime. However some of these can be really harmful for your health. Teeth grinding is one common and deadly habit for your teeth health.
Here are a few reasons why you should seriously consider cutting loose from this habit -
Pressure and destruction
Grinding teeth poses nearly 10 times the chewing weight on your molars, approximately 200 pounds, which can undoubtedly cause fractures and cracks in your teeth.
The wearing down of teeth can be beyond repair and then needs various surgical dental procedures like Root canals, dentures and implants.

A person might be grinding his teeth throughout the night and such a chronic condition, called bruxism , can last for nearly 40 minutes per hour of sleep! This can lead to much more serious complications and a disturbed sleep.
