Let the electrician do a thorough checking of the electrical connections. Faulty wiring and damaged connections should be replaced immediately. Electrical switches and plug points that are exposed to rain need to be covered to avoid rain water from seeping in. Be careful about the extension cords and multi-plug sockets during the monsoon as these can lead to short circuit due to overloading.
