The unusual history of Eh'hausl, the smallest hotel in the world
The Eh'häusl Hotel is a small - but perfectly formed - establishment in Germany. It holds the Guinness World Record for the world's smallest hotel, with just 53 metres of floor space. The entire building is just 2.5 metres wide.
The boutique bolthole in Amberg, Bavaria made it into the Guinness Book of World Records in 2008, but the building itself dates back to 1728.
It was originally used as a way to circumvent the country's marriage laws, before being turned into a hotel by Amberg's Urban Planning Society.
