The top 13 universities in Britain with the most employable graduates
However, they have failed to claim the top two positions for having the highest level of graduate prospects - "a measure of the employability of a university's first degree graduates," according to the latest data from the Complete University Guide (CUG).
Number crunchers at CUG looked at a number of data sources that are in the public domain, such as the National Student Survey and the 2014 Research Excellence Framework to come up with a score out of 100. The higher the score, the better it is for the university - in this case; graduate prospects.
"In just a few cases the source data were not available and were obtained directly from the individual universities," it added.
The CUG said the methodology in obtaining the score for "graduate prospects" is as follows:
The number of graduates who take up employment or further study divided by the total number of graduates with a known destination expressed as a percentage. Only employment in an area that normally recruits graduates was included. The results were then adjusted to take account of the subject mix at the universities.
