The love that Toronto FC soccer player Jozy Altidore and tennis champion Sloane Stephens have for one another is the most adorable story in sports right now.
The pair have known each other since they were children, have been dating for three years, and are now engaged.
This makes them one of the highest-profile power couples in the world of athletics.
With five goals and two assists from seven appearances for Toronto FC so far this season, Altidore is one of the most impressive players in his team, according to Whoscored.com statistics.
Stephens, meanwhile, is currently the seventh best tennis player on the WTA tour, and one of the favorites to triumph at the upcoming French Open, the year's second major tournament.

This is Sloane Stephens, an athletic baseline tennis player. The 26-year-old is the 2017 US Open champion with a current world rank of seven. She is seen as a clay court specialist, reached the 2018 French Open, and will be one of the favorites to triumph at Roland Garros in the weeks ahead.
This is her man, Jozy Altidore, 29. Altidore is a strong and powerful soccer player for MLS club Toronto FC. The striker has performed well in Spain's La Liga, the Eredivisie in the Netherlands, and in America. One of the most accomplished athletes in United States men's national soccer team history with 41 goals in 110 international matches, Altidore helped the team win the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2017.
The sports power couple were childhood friends growing up within 20 miles of one another in South Florida, but they didn't start dating until 2016. However, once they got together, they became virtually inseparable. Altidore said Stephens is "somebody who gets everything I am going through without having to say anything," while Stephens once said there's never been "a more positive person" in her corner than Altidore.
Sports-obsessed, they attend events on date night. Here, they check out a Toronto Raptors game, an NBA team representing the same city Altidore plays soccer for.
But they don't just go to sports games together, they also attend gigs. They even got VIP treatment at a Wiz Khalifa show at the 16,000-capacity Budweiser Stage in Toronto, a venue renowned for music.
As Altidore is often travelling around North America because of the MLS schedule and Stephens is a staple part of the WTA tour in tennis, they have to make the most of what little time they spend together. "She is a successful athlete and I do okay, and we just enjoy our time together when we are together," Altidore said in 2017.
In a recent Instagram post, Altidore told Stephens that she makes "everything better," and it seems Stephens is just as grateful to have Altidore by her side. Three months after the 2016 Olympics, she suffered a stress fracture that kept her sidelined from sport for almost an entire year, and it was Altidore who played a key role in keeping her spirits up. "I would make fun of myself and he'd make fun of me, but he kept it light for me so I was never too sad," she said. She dominated when she returned to tennis the very next year.
Altidore regularly cheers Stephens on when she competes, but was unable to witness her greatest success, the US Open final victory over Madison Keys in 2017, in person as he was busy playing for Toronto FC. Altidore's mom broke the news to her soccer-playing son from the stands. "I'm thrilled for her … I can't be happier," he said at half-time. It turned out to be a good day for them both, as Altidore returned to the match and scored two goals. But Stephens joked that he should have scored three.
Altidore admits he gets nervous watching Stephens play live because he feels "powerless" but loves witnessing his partner set "the world on fire" when she wins in style.
They love to vacation together and visited Hawaii in 2018. They stayed at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa for a week, a beachfront spot that was once frequented by Hawaiian royalty.
