- The Philadelphia Eagles earned their eighth win of the season on Sunday with a 51-23 rout of the Denver Broncos.
- Carson Wentz and company scored seven touchdowns on the day, so many that the stadium actually ran out of fireworks before their final trip to the end zone.
The Philadelphia Eagles are the hottest team in football.
Behind a high-powered offense led by Carson Wentz and skill-position weapons such as Alshon Jeffrey, Zach Ertz, and newly acquired Jay Ajayi, the Eagles have been pouring points on opponents. The most recent was Sunday's 51-23 home victory over the Denver Broncos, who had one of the best defenses in the league heading into the game.
While scoring too many points is not typically a problem for NFL teams, the torrent of touchdowns from the Eagles on Sunday apparently created a bit of havoc for the pyrotechnics team at Lincoln Financial Field.
According to a tweet from the Eagles, the stadium ran out of fireworks to celebrate home team touchdowns.
You can forgive the party-planning committee at the Linc for being caught off guard by seven touchdowns in one game, but with the offense firing on all cylinders, it might be best to overprepare moving forward this season.
Apologies, we actually ran out of fireworks at @LFFStadium. #FlyEaglesFly pic.twitter.com/4uXjPPRSDe
