The Oklahoma City Thunder hire Florida coach Billy Donovan

One week after firing head coach Scott Brooks, the Oklahoma City Thunder are hiring Florida head coach Billy Donovan to take over the job, according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Terms of the deal haven't been announced yet, but Wojnarowski reports that it is a five-year deal.

Donovan coached 19 years at Florida and won two national titles. He's coached current NBA players like Al Horford, Joakim Noah, Chandler Parsons, Bradley Beal, Corey Brewer, and David Lee, among others.

Interestingly, Donovan's hire may have been in the works for a long time. As ESPN's Marc Stein notes, the Thunder have hired several former Florida staffers in the last 12 months.

Expectations are high for Donovan coming into the job. The Thunder haven't made the Finals since 2012, and with Kevin Durant's free agency approaching in 2016, Donovan needs to try to get the Thunder back to the Finals while convincing Durant to re-sign.
