The NFL took over downtown San Francisco this week - here's what it's like to visit

Super Bowl 50 will be played this Sunday, February 7, in Santa Clara, California.

That's about 50 miles south of San Francisco. The local football team, the 49ers, moved to a new stadium there two seasons ago. But they kept the "San Francisco" in their name, so San Francisco is where the NFL decided to host all the festivities other than the game itself.

For the last week, the NFL has taken over a few city blocks right in downtown San Francisco to host Super Bowl City. I visited last weekend with my kids.
