The Frankfurt Motor Show is to auto lovers what a free buffet is to a glutton. Amidst sneak peeks, image leaks and grand launches, a lot of hopes are pinned on this year’s Frankfurt gala. As per convention there is a tantalizing troop of new production and concept cars and list of top industry executives to provide invaluable insights into emerging auto technologies and trends.

Business Insider India shortlists some of the meanest cars at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

1. Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo

The next generation Bugatti beast envisions the company’s design language and "the new form and design language developed by the brand to celebrate the next chapter in its history following the end of the Veyron era."

2. Rolls-Royce Dawn

The soft-top convertible Rolls-Royce Dawn would stand shoulder to shoulder with the Wraith coupé. 80% of the Dawn is taken from the Wraith. However the cabin can accommodate four adults.

3. Bentley Bentayga

While Bentley is unlikely to take delivery before 2017, the Bentayga SUV has received positive customer response.

4. Ferrari 488 GTS

The 488 Spider is the most powerful mid-engined convertible Ferrari ever. Its turbocharged V8 engine delivers 660bhp at 8000rpm.

5. Maserati Levante

With a Quattroporte and Ghibli saloon inspired face, Maserati’s first-ever SUV, the Levante looks a lot like the Porsche Cayenne from the side with an added sloping roofline.

6. Lamborghini Huracán Spider

The new Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Spyder has made its global debut at the Frankfurt motor show, and it’s expected to make it big for Lamborghini.

7. Jaguar F-Pace

Jaguar's SUV has stayed true to the well-received 2013 C-X17 concept. Only time would tell how many units they sell.

8. Mazda Koeru

Mazda's five-door concept SUV designed by Luca Zollino is expected to preview a seven-seat version of the CX-5.

9. Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupé

The three-door variant of the latest C-Class would debut in Frankfurt this year. It’s expected to go on sale at the end of 2015.

10. SsangYong Tivoli

The seven seater version of the SsangYong Tivoli SUV would be previewed by a concept called XLV-Air in this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show.
