The first open-to-the-public practice for the Winnipeg Jets since the end of NHL lockout included hundreds of fans waiting in line and "around 5,000" fans inside the arena once practice started. And while this is only one practice in a city that is just happy to have a team again, it does show that the NHL's core fanbase hasn't gone anywhere...
