The Latest Google Doodle In India Shows You The Election Results

As we all know, Google doodle is the fun way of Google to mark all the special occasions.

Today, as the world’s largest democracy gears up for the biggest decision that could turn its fate around, Google has brought its unique touch in the Google India homepage.
The letter “L” in the logo of Google has been given the form of the index finger of the left hand, with a voting ink at the nail tip. In India, like many countries of the world, the nail of the left index finger is inked with indelible ink to avoid voting fraud.

As the whole India waits for the results of the Lok Sabha Elections 2014, this sure is a nice way to ease the tension. People can click on the index finger on the doodle and will be taken to a election results page, where current count of seats will be shown.

It should be noted that the 2014 General Election is the longest election in history of Indian democracy that ran from 7th April to 12th May 2014. Voting took place in the 543 constituencies of India to elect members of parliament for the 16th Lok Sabha. The 15th Lok Sabha will be completing its tenure on 31st May 2014.
