When it comes to recruiting and retaining top tech talent, Blackstone, the world's largest private-equity firm, is often competing with the likes of Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn.Blackstone Innovations, the tech team that designs tools for Blackstone's employees and investors and acts as in-house advisors for potential tech investments, recently moved out of the firm's New York headquarters and across the street to their own space. The new digs come complete with a pool table, event space, and a much more casual dress code.
"[We wanted to] put [our team] in a position where they're comfortable, and spur them to think differently," William Murphy, CTO of Blackstone Innovations, told Business Insider during a visit to the new space. Ahead, take a look at the brand-new offices in Midtown Manhattan.
