The NFL season is just a few weeks away from kicking off, and as teams are preparing for a successful 2017 campaign on the field, their social media teams are doing what they can to get fans excited for what's to come.

Some teams do this with impressive grace, take for example the Panthers perfectly executed meme that took days to plan and develop. Others teams are less successful at this endeavor.

Case in point, on Thursday morning the Jacksonville Jaguars sent out a relatively standard social media request in which they asked their fans to respond with a GIF showing their excitement for the 2017 season.

Unfortunately for the Jaguars, most of the GIFs they received more aptly reflected the team's recent struggles.

Several fans used this image of an actual Jaguars fan to show their feelings.

Others used shots of memorable Jags lowlights from years past.

"Game of Thrones" was also a useful purveyor of emotion for fans.

Other fans simply needed a drink.

But no matter the reply, the sentiment was fairly clear - this season is not going to be easy on us.

The Jaguars open the season against the Houston Texans as four point underdogs. Vegas sportsbooks expect them to win six or seven games this season.
