Your browser doesn't support HTML5 video.

If you don't have a scanner at home, it can be annoying to try and find a way to send documents to other people. Luckily, Apple has silently introduced a new document scanning feature that's buried inside the iPhone Notes app. You can even turn them into PDFs and share them. Here's how to use this new feature. Following is the text of the video.

The iPhone can now scan your documents. Here's how. iOS 11 has a hidden document scanner. You can find it in the Notes app. Make a new note by clicking here. Select the "Plus" button. "Scan Documents." The yellow guides will help you take a level photo. Crop the photo by dragging the 4 magnifying corner points. Select "Keep Scan." You can change the document to grayscale or black and white. This will help remove shadows and other artifacts. Add more scans, or click "Save." Use this button to share the document. You can turn it into a PDF and save it to Apple's new "Files" app. You can even print to nearby printers. Goodbye, large scanners!
