La Liste, which was released in December 2016, is run by former French foreign minister and current ambassador Philippe Faure. According to its website, it is "an algorithm-based aggregator of food guides and reviews, crafting the perfect ranking of the world's best restaurants."
La Liste collects reviews from sites like Google, Tripadvisor and the Michelin Guide to find the restaurants with the best reputations. So far, it has collected almost one million reviews on restaurants in 135 countries worldwide.
