A report from Re/Code says that Ian Rogers, the Apple executive who departed unexpectedly last week, is heading to the luxury conglomerate LVMH.

Rogers was the CEO of Beats Music and moved to Apple after the company acquired Beats for $3 billion (£1.95 billion) in 2014 before heading up the re-launch as Apple Music. Rogers focused specifically on Beats 1, the online radio station that has gained approval from listeners and the media alike.

Rogers moves to LVMH as the Chief Digital Officer, relocating from California to Paris, where the company's headquarters is based. Major brands, such as Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Dior, Möet, and more are subsidiaries of LVMH, a company formed out of the merger between Louis Vuitton, Möet & Chandon, and Hennessy.

Re/Code notes that there is no obvious connection between Rogers' previous roles - running Yahoo Music, working as the CEO of Beats Music - and LVMH but we will be sure to watch what he does.
