Jennifer Gates, daughter of Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates, competes at the Longines Masters.

The daughters of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Bloomberg, Steven Spielberg, and Tom Selleck all suited up for the second-annual Longines Masters show jumping competition this weekend.

Held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the event included several different competitions stretched out over four days.

Jennifer Gates - daughter of Bill and Melinda - and Eve Jobs - daughter of Steve and Laurene - are both 18 and relatively new to the sport.

Gates notably paid $18 million for a 228-acre horse farm in Rancho Santa Fe, California, a year ago. The Gates family also owns a second equestrian estate in Wellington, Florida, which they purchased for $8.7 million after renting it for travel to Jennifer's horse-riding competitions.

Eve Jobs, whose late father's Apple was a major rival to Gates' Microsoft back in the day, also showed off her show jumping skills at the event.

Jobs recently told her school newspaper, the Paly Campanile, that riding is a major passion of hers.

"Competitions are a really great way to meet people from around the world," she said. "It takes up a lot of time, and school is definitely hard to balance, but we make it work."

One of the weekend's major draws is the many other high-profile people to mingle with during parties each night.

Georgina Bloomberg, daughter of former mayor Michael Bloomberg, has been show jumping for more than 10 years.

"Like any career, riding's about taking risks, hard work, and sacrifice, and with show jumping, you really take risks," she told Glamour in 2013. "I've fallen and broken my spine twice - it develops character."

Jessica Springsteen, daughter of Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa, has led Team USA to wins at the Nations Cup and at the Royal Dublin Horse Show.

Selleck, daughter of actor and producer Tom Selleck, finished first in her division and took home $1,250 in prize money. Jobs and Spielberg also placed well.
