In the wildest turn of events of NBA free agency, the Los Angeles Clippers are trying to convince DeAndre Jordan to back out of his verbal deal with the Dallas Mavericks at the 11th hour and return to Los Angeles.

It's borderline unprecedented and very much frowned upon to pressure a free agent change his mind once he has made a verbal agreement, but Jordan reportedly told Doc Rivers he has been having second thoughts, and here we are.

It's now all-out war between the two teams, with players from both teams tweeting out travel emojis indicting they're rushing to Houston, where Jordan is currently at his house.

Before Jordan can officially sign his five-year, $80 million contract with the Mavs at 12:01 a.m. eastern, the Clippers will meet with him. ESPN reports that the Clippers are sending a full contingent to Houston, including Doc Rivers and owner Steve Ballmer.

Not going down without a fight, Mavs owner Mark Cuban has travelled to Houston to join the fray:

It appears that Chandler Parsons, who had dinner with Jordan six nights in a row before free agency opened, is rushing to Houston as well:

After Parsons sent that tweet, Austin resident JJ Redick hopped in his emoji car. Hereeeee comes JJ:

Woj can confirm:

Blake Griffin is in:

Chris Paul, who reportedly contributed to Jordan's initial desire to leave L.A., was last seen on a banana boat in the Bahamas:

He's coming too. He tweeted a banana boat emoji. I'm dead:

This is the most absurd story of the year. Let's see how it plays out!
