There's a new name in Asian cuisine.

Sushi, lettuce wraps, lo mein, teriyaki and fried rice is all part of the colorful menu of the Asian fusion restaurant chain, Pei Wei.

Although not a new name in the fast-casual dining scene, Pei Wei Asian Diner is growing rapidly.

After hiring a new CEO - former Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen US president Ralph Bower - in 2014, the company experienced a record year of expansion.

The brand just opened its 200th US location.

Pei Wei, whose parent comapny is P.F. Chang's, has been in the fast-casual market since the year 2000.

Both restaurants are owned by Wok HoldCo - a restaurant holding company that also holds a majority interest in True Food Kitchen.

The menu boasts fresh ingredients, prepared from scratch, offering a variety of cuisines such as Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai.

Pei Wei advertises that there no hormones added to its chicken and no added MSG in the sauces.

You can customize your meal in endless ways - not as much as competitor Wok to Walk - but enough to make your dish your own.

This wok-seared, contemporary pan-Asian cuisine offers counter service as well as the convenience of takeout.

Fans of the brand say it is affordable, fresh and healthy.

Pei Wei is continuing to expand, so chances are you'll see one at a city near you soon.
