The Agent For A Seahawks Player Who Suffered A Possible Season-Ending Injury Yesterday Blames It On The 'Crappy' Field
Win McNamee/Getty ImagesSeattle Seahawks defensive end Chris Clemons hurt his knee in yesterday's win over the Redskins, and the team fears it's a season-ending ACL tear.
After the game, Clemons' agent Donal Henderson 'blamed the 'crappy' conditions at FedEx Field for contributing to the injury," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The field was choppy and seemed to be primarily dirt and mud that was painted green.
In addition to Clemons, Seahawks punter Steven Hauschka, Redskins guard Kory Lichtensteiger, and Redskins QB Robert Griffin III all suffered leg injuries.
The field conditions at FedEx Field are notoriously bad, and a number of Redskins players said after the game that yesterday wasn't any different.
You have to think that there will now be pressure to do something about it, considering one of the highest-profile players in the league twisted his knee on a clump of dirt, and another player's agent is pinpointing the field as a cause of a major injury.
