The advantage of being in a union is crystal clear in this chart

Employee compensation for unionized workers is way up in the last three years.

Compensation for non-unionized workers? Not so much.

It seems that unionized employees have been seeing the effects of the economic recovery in their paychecks and benefits packages for quite some time, while non-unionized workers are still waiting for wage growth to significantly outpace inflation. This is just further proof that now is the time for labor to organize. A massive push for unionization right now could give regular employees the boost that still seems to be missing in this economy.
