Good morning! Here are the plays everybody will be talking about on Monday:
Aaron Rodgers threw another Hail Mary. The Packers beat the Giants 38-13 in their first-round playoff game on Sunday. But what turned out to be a second-half blowout started out as a decent game. That is, until Rodgers connected with Randall Cobb on a 42-yard Hail Mary on the closing play of the first half. That gave the Packers a 14-6 lead, all of the momentum, and they never looked back.
Somehow Matt Moore returned to the game after this hit. The NFL's concussion protocol once again came under fire when Moore was only briefly knocked out of their loss to the Steelers on this vicious hit. Those looking for potential concussions on the Dolphins' sideline reportedly noted that Moore was never unconscious and showed no signs of a concussion despite needing several moments to return to his feet.
Lionel Messi saved the day once again. Messi saved a 1-1 draw for Barcelona with a gorgeous free kick in the 90th minute. The keeper never had a chance.
The No-Look-Fast-Break Bonus. The Warriors beat the Kings 117-106 on Sunday and Golden State was doing Golden State things. Up ten in the third quarter, Kevin Durant blocked a DeMarcus Cousins shot and then Zaza Pachulia started the fast break with a no-look, over-his-head pass to the streaking Stephen Curry.
