The 3 plays in sports everybody will be talking about today
Good morning! Here are the plays everybody will be talking about on Tuesday:
Jay Cutler's best pass of the night. The Bears beat the Vikings 20-10 on Monday night. While Cutler went 20-31 for 252 yards and a touchdown in the upset win, his best throw of the night fell incomplete. That's when Cutler split a double-team and hit Alshon Jeffery ... right in the helmet. Jeffery wasn't looking.
The Bulldozer had a good night. Rookie running back Jordan Howard had the best game of his young career, rushing for 153 yards and a touchdown. He also set the tone early. On just the Bears' third play from scrimmage, Howard went up the middle and right through the very good Vikings defense, He finally ran out of steam after 69 yards.
The Bulls' Big 3 score two. When the Chicago Bulls added Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade and teamed them with Jimmy Butler, it raised a lot of eyebrows. There were concerns that the Bulls had too many alpha-dogs who want the ball in their hands and too many guards who can't shoot three-pointers and spread the defense. Well, through three games, the Bulls are 3-0 with wins over both the Celtics and the Pacers. On Monday, against the Nets, they won 118-88 and on one play, the three star players combined for one fast-break bucket where the ball never touched the ground. Maybe this can work after all.
