The 3 plays in sports everybody will be talking about today
Good morning! Here are the plays everybody will be talking about Thursday.
Young golfer breaks in Tiger Woods' new course in style. On Wednesday, Tiger Woods opened Bluejack National, a new 10-hole, par-3 course outside of Houston. To break in the course, Woods had a couple of kids play a round. One of those kids was 11-year-old Taylor Crozier, who had the honor of hitting the first shot on the course. He hit a hole-in-one, got a huge ovation, and a hug from Tiger. Not a bad day.
Not Russell Westbrook's best moment on a basketball court. The Oklahoma City Thunder blew a 22-point lead to the Los Angeles Clippers, but still had a chance to tie in the closing seconds. Without a timeout, Westbrook pushed the ball up court and for some reason, with plenty of time to set up a good shot, he instead launched an off-balance 3-pointer that missed by a mile. Game over.
The Flying Canadian flies again. No. 9 Oregon rallied to beat UCLA 76-68 and along the way, senior forward Chris Boucher scored at the end of this lovely double-pass alley-oop. The Flying Canadian only had four points on the night, but half of them were pretty sweet.
