Employees rated their CEOs anonymously via the site, which creates an annual ranking.
The top-ranked execs spanned all kinds of industries, including technology, banking, retail, food and travel, with bosses from some of the world's biggest companies featured.
Debuts on the list include UK Metro Bank's Craig Donaldson and Simon Segars of software company ARM Holdings.
"The Glassdoor Employees' Choice Awards honour CEOs that stand out for having gained the support and approval of their workforce," said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and co-founder, "no easy task for any leader."
