Apartment List, an online rental marketplace, recently put together a ranking of the best large US cities for families.
The results are based off a number of factors, including FBI data on violent and property crimes, the percentage of median income required to rent a two-bedroom apartment, high school graduation rates, and the percentage of people under 18 (called a child friendliness score).
Each city's suburbs were also taken into account when conducting the study.
