6. Apple has launched an official Twitter account. The account had been registered and dormant since 2011, but on Friday it was verified and its generic egg avatar was replaced by an Apple logo.

7. A tropical storm barreling towards Florida has been reclassified as a hurricane. Hurrican Hermine has taken aim at the state's western Big Bend area.

8. A Nice court has finally suspended the burkini ban following a global backlash. Judges said the terrorist attacks in July were insufficient grounds to justify such a ban.

9. Donald Trump says there will be "quite a bit of softening" on his immigration stance. The presidential nominee told conservative radio host Laura Ingraham that there's a lot of people in the country that "we can't have."
