1. Eurozone leaders will hold an emergency summit in Brussels on Tuesday where Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is set to unveil new bailout proposals, while Greek banks will remain closed until Thursday to prevent cash machines from running dry.

2. Euclid Tsakalotos, an Oxford-educated economist, was appointed as Greece's new finance minister on Monday after Yanis Varoufakis unexpectedly resigned following Greece's overwhelming rejection of a bailout deal from European creditors.

3. Six world powers are set to miss Tuesday's deadline to for a nuclear deal with Iran as negotiations remain deadlocked over Tehran's push for a UN ban on arms sales to be lifted in exchange for placing curbs on the country's military and ballistic-missile programs.

4. A group of HSBC employees in the UK were fired after making a mock ISIS beheading video during a team-building exercise.

5. Attacks by the Boko Haram militant group in Nigeria have intensified since Sunday with at least 44 people killed in two separate bomb blasts at a restaurant and a mosque.

6. An Iraqi warplane accidentally dropped a bomb in eastern Baghdad due to a technical problem, killing at least seven people.

7. Tuesday marks the 10th anniversary of the 7/7 London attacks, in which 56 people were killed by homemade bombs planted on underground trains by four young British Muslims.

8. Floyd Mayweather was stripped of the welterweight world title he won by beating Manny Pacquiao two months ago for failing to a pay fee and give up two other world titles.

9. Newly-released court documents from 2005 show that US comedian Bill Cosby, who has been accused of sexually assaulting dozens of women, admitted to having drugged at least one woman to have sex with her.

10. The world's oldest man, Japanese Sakari Momoi, died at age 112. He credited a long life to getting lots of sleep and eating well.
