You are living under a rock if you have not yet heard about the out and out battle brewing between the top telecom operators in the country and Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio. Well, the infighting in the telecom industry started with telcos protesting against Jio’s 90 days free trial offer to consumers that has led to Reliance Jio tucking in almost three million subscribers even before its commercial launch. There has been a volley of accusations from both sides where telecom operators like Airtel, Vodafone and Idea have accused Jio of running full-fledged services under the guise of trial testing and poaching their customers with its free trial offer on the other hand Jio has written to the top govt offices and accused telcos of indulging in an unwarranted vilification campaign against Jio and trying to sabotage the market entry of Jio.
