Apple is set to host its annual launch event Tuesday at the Steve Jobs Theater at the iPhone maker's headquarters in California.
This year's event is titled "Wonderlust" and the new iPhone 15 is expected to be revealed, along with several other products.
Her'e's how to watch the event, what to expect, and why this year's launch come at a critical time for Apple.
When is the event?
"Wonderlust: is scheduled to start on Tuesday September 12 at 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. ET.
If you're in western Europe that's 7:00 p.m.
Previous Apple launch events have lasted about 90 minutes.
How can I watch it?
Although the audience at Apple's Cupertino headquarters is invitation-only, anyone can watch the free live stream on multiple platforms including the Apple TV app and YouTube.
Using the Apple TV app you can easily tune into the event's live stream.
The Apple Events webpage is another option for live viewing. You can add the event to your calendar from the page and return to watch a recording if you can't watch live on Tuesday.
The company's official YouTube page will also be live streaming the event for those that don't have an Apple TV subscription. The YouTube page can be be found here, where you can also set a reminder using the "Notify Me" button to get an alert when the broadcast begins.
What happens at an Apple launch event?
Apple holds an event every September to showcase its latest products and updates. Though nothing is officially announced in advance, we can expect in-depth demonstrations of new features, functions – and a keynote speech from CEO Tim Cook.
Top of the agenda this year will almost certainly be the iPhone 15 range, including the Plus, as well as the high-end Pro and Pro Max variations.
Announcements are also expected for the Apple Watch Series 9 as well as AirPods including a USB-C charging port.
Updates to Apple watches could include faster chips that would boost their performance for the first time in years, as well as new case colors.
What can we expect from the new iPhone15?
The iPhone 15 is expected to add the Dynamic Island interface and a 48-megapixel rear camera to all models, and not just the high-end models with larger screens.
The biggest rumor surrounding this model is that it will be the first to include a USB-C charging port in place of Apple's traditional Lightning connector. This has partly been in reaction to new EU laws that require hardware to be compatible with USB-C chargers by late 2024 to reduce waste.
The higher-end models are expected to get the biggest makeover compared to the iPhone 14 suite. Bloomberg's chief technology correspondent Mark Gurman reports that changes include a redesigned frame made with titanium rather than stainless steel, a thinner border around the screen, and the A17 processor.

Why this year's launch is even more important for Apple
China is one of Apple's largest markets, accounting for almost a fifth of its revenues last year. That makes it the company's third-biggest region behind the US and Europe, but that could be set to change.
Apple shares dipped 6% last week after Beijing barred government officials from using iPhones at work, wiping about $200 billion off its value.
The impact of China's new measures on the demand for the iPhone 15 will be closely monitored, but as the tech war with the US and China's push for self-sufficiency in telecommunications continue, they're undoubtedly under more scrutiny than usual.
