Uber appears to be expanding its testing of a favorite drivers feature that it launched in the United Kingdom earlier this year.
In May, Hong Kong-based tech researcher Jane Manchun Wong first noticed the "add as favorite" button on the post-ride tipping and rating screen. The feature then rolled out to the UK, giving favorite drivers first rights to a scheduled ride.
Now, Business Insider staffers have spotted the option in San Francisco, implying it may be expanding to more markets.Reached for comment, an Uber spokesperson offered little detail into whether or not the program was expanding.
"We're always looking for ways to improve the rider and driver experience on Uber," the representative said. "What you're seeing is a limited experiment to support those efforts."
