Cloudflare Radar has released data on the most popular domains of 2021.

TikTok was ranked 7th in 2020 but it went up the ranks to grab the 1st spot this year. It managed to beat Google’s suite of services.

Google was the undefeated leader last year but this year it came down to the 2nd spot thanks to the viral app TikTok.

Facebook also climbed a rank lower and it’s now the 3rd most popular domain and the 2nd most popular social media domain.

Microsoft took the 4th spot for the most popular domain which includes its widely used services Office365 and Teams.

Apple also offers a host of services and products such as the App Store and Apple TV+ which made it the 5th most popular domain of 2021.

Amazon beat Netflix to go up a rank in 2021 and it also had a tough fight with Apple but the iPhone maker managed to keep its spot after September.

Netflix takes the 6th spot but it could go up the ranks later this month based on last year’s trends when it beat even Apple during the Christmas weekend.

YouTube is 7th overall but it did grab the number one spot once on February 2, 2021, when the fitness instructor video in Myanmar went viral.

Twitter had a busy year with possibly the most number of features it ever launched. It also bagged the 9th spot for the most popular domain.

WhatsApp continues to be the most popular messaging app and it’s also part of the most popular domain list even with the 10th spot.
