Even though Cook revealed the name of the group chat to the interviewer, he had earlier mentioned that he wasn't aware of the feature that you can name group chats in iMessage.

Cook was asked, “What’s the best name for a group chat?”—a question that clearly caught him off guard. He admitted, with some bewilderment, “I don’t name them,” showing genuine surprise at the concept. The light-hearted exchange offered a rare look at the disconnect that sometimes exists between tech leaders and the finer points of everyday user experience.

Love for Apple and company's success mantra

The interview also revealed that Cook, as you would expect, frequently switches between his MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and iMac at work, depending on his task. Moreover, he prefers his iPad Pro while on the move. Cook’s relationship with the devices he oversees isn’t just professional—it’s personal, reinforcing his deep commitment to the brand.

Cook also shared that the key to the company’s success lies in one word: focus. “The key for us is focus,” he explained, adding that saying no to good ideas is sometimes necessary to make room for great ones. It’s a mantra that has helped keep Apple at the cutting edge of innovation, making tough decisions to stay ahead in the fast-evolving tech world.
