Sony has launched several gaming headphones under its Inzone lineup and the Inzone H5 is the company’s latest offering in India.
The Inzone H5 wireless gaming headphone was developed in collaboration with esports team Fnatic. It is compatible with both the PS5 and PC, making it a good option for those who have both the devices as it eliminates the need to have two headphones.
I have been testing the Inzone H5 gaming headphone with my PC for a few weeks now and here is my detailed review of the gaming headphone.

The Sony Inzone H5 features a subtle design unlike a lot of gaming headphones available in the market. It comes in two colour options – Black and White. I tested the Black colour option, which comes with a minimalistic design. Apart from Sony branding, the headphone does not feature any logos or text.

The Inzone H5 features a matte black plastic design, which prevents fingerprint smudges while holding them. The headphone is lightweight and weighs just 260 grams, which makes it lightweight, allowing you to use it for extended gaming sessions without any issues. It comes with oval ear cups with nylon earpads that are comfortable to use. Even if you live in cities where temperature goes high, you will not face any issues while using the headset.
It comes with a non-detachable microphone on the left side, which can be enabled with a flip. Apart from this, the headphone also features the 3.5mm port, USB Type-C port and the volume controls on the left side. It is quite easy to adjust the volume even when you are gaming.
On the right side, you get the power button and the game-chat button.

The headphone comes with ample cushioning, which makes it comfortable and does not put any pressure on your head.Features and performance
The Sony Inzone H5 comes with a USB Transceiver that can be plugged into the USB port, allowing you to connect the headphones to your device without any wires. If you want to, you can also use the cable to get a wired connection.
Do note that the headphone does not offer Bluetooth connectivity so the USB Transceiver is the only way to connect it if you wish to use it wirelessly. It would have been great if Bluetooth support was offered with the headphone, as it would have become easier to connect to Bluetooth-enabled devices.
If you are using the Inzone H5 with your computer, you can download the Inzone Hub to manage presets, EQ settings, dynamic range adjustments and more.
Coming to performance, the Sony Inzone H5 delivers rich audio without any distortions, thanks to its 40mm drivers. The headphone uses the housing ducts to deliver powerful bass, offering a great audio experience while gaming.

The 360 spatial sound ensures that you are able to hear the direction of your enemies, especially in FPS games where this could mean the difference between a win and a defeat.
The Inzone H5 uses its bidirectional boom microphone and AI-based noise reduction to eliminate background voices. I checked with my friends and they noticed a reduction in background voices while we gamed.
Coming to the battery life, the Sony Inzone H5 is claimed to offer 28 hours of battery life. During my testing, I found that the headphone offers excellent battery life and I could use it for up to a week of gaming sessions. It also comes with fast charging support, offering three hours of battery life with ten minutes of charging.
Verdict
The Sony Inzone H5 is a good gaming headphone that ticks all the right boxes, offering a comfortable experience, good audio quality and a long battery life. Be it for PC or PS5, the device works with both the devices, making it a good option for users who game on both of them.
