The image signal processor is improved to an 18-bit system from a 14-bit ISP in its predecessor, meaning it processes 4,096 times more camera data.

With suitable hardware, the chipset will support shooting in 8K video with HDR 10 Plus. Apart from this, it will allow clicking 240 12-megapixel photos in a single second.

It comes with Qualcomm’s Hexagon processor that improves a host of camera capabilities such as improved exposure, auto-focus, and auto-face detection technology along with improving gaming performance.

Xiaomi 12, a new Motorola Edge and Oppo’s upcoming flagship devices will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. Apart from these, most Samsung Galaxy S22 series are likely to have the chipset.
