Samsung Galaxy Unpacked online event has been scheduled for August 5. - The company is expected to announce the
Galaxy Note 20 series, new foldable phones and a smartwatch at the event. - The event will be live streamed on the company's website on August 5 from 7:30 pm Indian time.
The company has posted a teaser on its website but hasn't revealed any detail about what will be launched at the event. However, the South Korean smartphone maker is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 20 series, new Galaxy foldable phones and the Galaxy Watch 3. We should know more about the devices in the upcoming days.
The teaser posted by Samsung showcases a drop falling from an S Pen that is copper in colour. Interestingly, a leak earlier this month had showcased the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra in the same color after it was accidentally listed on the company's Russian website.
Samsung is expected to announce three devices in the Galaxy S20 series this time - the regular Galaxy Note 20, the Galaxy Note 20 Plus and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The three devices are expected to feature similar specifications and differ only in terms of cameras and the battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 865+ chipset in the United States and an Exynos chipset in markets like India.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.9-inch Quad HD+ (3040 × 1440 pixels) and a 108MP + 12MP ultrawide + 13MP periscope camera setup. It is also expected to sport a 3D Time-of-Flight sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series is expected to be launched in Black, Copper, White/Grey, and Mint Green colour options.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Fold 2
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G and the Galaxy Fold 2 are also expected to be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is expected to be similar to its predecessor and come with hardware improvements.
The Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to feature a 7.7-inch display on the inside and a 6.3-inch display on the outside. It is expected to use the same thin glass material that was used on the Galaxy Z Flip.
