The Realme Book Slim is all set to launch in India on August 18, marking the entry of the smartphone maker in India’s booming notebook market. The company has started teasing the laptop days ahead of the launch, and we now know some crucial details.
With the notebook segment in India more than doubling in the June quarter, companies look poised to make the most of the upswing in the market. According to a Canalys report, notebook shipments hit 2.5 million units in the June quarter, with PC and tablet shipments growing at a healthy rate of 72%, compared to the same period last year.
The increased uptake for laptops could be what a company like Realme needs to break into the market. Its rival, Xiaomi, already has a few laptops available.

The Realme Book Slim launch date has been confirmed by the company. It is scheduled to launch on August 18.
As far as the pricing is concerned, some rumours suggest that the Realme Book Slim could cost under ₹50,000, but the exact details will be available closer to the launch.
The Realme Book Slim is confirmed to be powered by the 11th generation Intel Core i5 processor, which should pack an adequate punch for most users in this price segment.
Apart from this, Realme has also confirmed that the laptop will sport a 2K resolution display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The exact display size is not known yet, but we could likely see a 14-inch screen.
Realme has also confirmed a feature called Realme Connect that lets you mirror your Realme phone on the laptop.
Other rumoured features include an integrated HD camera and a fingerprint reader, along with the usual connectivity options.
