OnePlus could be planning to launch a tablet soon. The company’s trademark filing for ‘OnePlus Pad has been spotted on EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office).

As spotted by Mysmartprice and confirmed by Business Insider India, the company has filed a trademark for, what is likely to be the company’s entry into the tablet market. The listing was also shared by renowned leakster Mukul Sharma on his Twitter handle.

OnePlus planning to launch a tablet doesn’t come as a surprise as Realme and Vivo have been making similar moves. While Realme has announced its entry into the tablet category, Vivo filed a trademark for the ‘Vivo pad’ on the EUIPO website. We expect the tablet to run an optimised version of the company’s OxygenOS or it could be ColorOS as it is now working closely with Oppo.

As per the EUIPO trademark, the tablet could be advertised as the ‘OnePlus Pad’. However, it’s too soon to comment on what the OnePlus tablet will feature or how will it look as these are just speculations and the listing does not reveal any details about the products or the availability timeline. One thing that’s highly possible is that the company might launch the tablet in India as it’s been the biggest market for the company.

OnePlus is not just a smartphone company as it now sells TVs, headphones and wearables as well, and if the speculation about the tablet turns out to be true, it will compete with the likes of Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy tablets in the premium segment.
