OnePlus 10 Pro launched in India at a starting price of ₹66,999 — here's all you need to know

OnePlus has announced its much-anticipated OnePlus 10 Pro and Bullets Wireless Z2 neckbands in India and other global markets today. The OnePlus 10 Pro starts at ₹66,999 for the 8GB RAM variant and ₹71,999 for the 12GB RAM variant. The smartphone was launched in the Chinese market but has made its global debut nearly after three months. The open sale starts on April 5 on Amazon India and OnePlus' official website.

Also, this is the first time when we don’t get to see the non-Pro variant alongside the flagship, as the 10 Pro is the only handset to kick off the new series. There’s a lot of new stuff this time, but the highlight remains the Hasselblad powered camera, design and display.

Design gets a makeover

With OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus has changed the design language in comparison to its predecessor. It now has a redesigned camera system that blends from the phone’s aluminium frame to its frosted glass panel. Furthermore, the company says that the phone has the strongest cover glass ever on a OnePlus device with Gorilla Glass Victus which is said to be more resistant to scratches and drops. The phone comes in two colour variants - Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest green. It measures 163 × 73.9 × 8.55 mm and weighs 201 grams. It’s a fairly lightweight and slim phone.

OnePlus 10 Pro specifications

The OnePlus 10 Pro’s main camera has a custom-built 48MP Sony IMX789 sensor. It also has a 50MP ultra wide-angle camera with a 150-degree field of view and an 8MP macro camera. The ultra-wide camera has now got new fisheye modes to play with perspectives and the macro camera allows up to 3.3x optical zoom.

To enhance the photography experience it now has an upgraded Hasselblad Pro Mode. This mode has a new RAW+ feature to provide more creativity and freedom in shooting and editing your shots. For selfies, it has a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor.

It has a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has dual colour calibration that’s said to enhance colour accuracy. The display has a dynamic refresh rate that can go low as 1Hz and shoot way up to 120Hz if needed.

OnePlus 10 Pro comes with OxygenOS 12 that has a new feature called Private Safe. It is a virtual lockbox in which you can store data including documents, videos, and much more.

The new OnePlus flagship packs Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM, a new heat dissipation system, and 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging for its 5000mAh battery. The 80W SUPERVOOC is claimed to fully charge the OnePlus 10 Pro’s 5,000 mAh battery from 1-100 percent in 32 minutes. The OnePlus 10 Pro also supports 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging that takes the device from 1-100 percent in 47 minutes.

OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 also launched on the side

OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 is the successor to the very popular Bullets neckband from the company. It is equipped with faster charging, longer battery life, and 12.4 mm drives for richer bass and improved sound quality. OnePlus claims that you get 20 hours of audio playback in just 10 minutes of charging and with a full charge 30 hours of playback.

A new colour for the OnePlus Buds Pro

OnePlus Buds Pro is now available in a new Radiant Silver colour variant. It will cost the same as the original at ₹9999. The OnePlus Buds Pro has a shiny monochrome finish along with LHDC (Low Latency High Definition Audio Codec) audio, allowing for high-resolution audio to be streamed over Bluetooth. The earbuds are also equipped with Dolby Atmos support to enhance the audio experience.
